Johns back in town, Cheyenne, a short 100 mile jaunt up I25. Nice but cold
day, snow predicted, but what the hell....Johns in town. Of course we went.
Its been 2 years since we last saw John in Cheyenne and 2 years since we
ventured to Brantford and saw John win another contest. Thats a long time to
not see a friend and a great entertainer.
On the drive home I realized that I am no longer surprised at how good John
is. In times past I was often surprised at his growth as an entertainer, but
no more. Instead, I seemed to slip over to where I expect to see an excellent
show by an outstanding ETA. I was not disappointed. John took the stage,
grabed the audiences hearts and built on their enthusiaism for an hour and a
half, leaving the stage at the end to a standing ovation. Thats the way Elvis
did it and thats the way John does it. No leaving during the show to change
and impress you with another outfit. No trying to do different eras of
Elvis. Nope. Just take the stage, grab the audience and put on one hell of a
show. No disappointments there, by anyone. Just as I expected.
John, of course, spent time talking to fans and posing for pictures after
the show. Women of all ages all patiently waiting their turn. Reminded me of
when John lived out here.
Cindy, as usual, was radiant. The power in the background that insures the
music is ready, the CD's of John are available and patiently 'mans?' the table
and answers questions about her husband. Its always great talking to
Cindy. I remember when she and John first met in Collingwood and how happy
we were when they decided to get married. It has to be a special woman to
marry an ETA and then share him with fans.
Unfortunately, the little ones were with Grandma and we didn't see them.
OK, for a few of you ladies that ador Orin. Orin looked great in a bright
purple shirt and gray slacks as he ran the sound and lightning. Always
competant and smiling when John sends a light zinger at 'old dad'. Posting a
picture would only destroy your ladies curiosity so you are going to have to
wait till you meet him in person. LOL
It was difficult leaving John, Cindy and Orin to head back to Denver. As I
said, 2 years is way too long. We just may have to head to Oklahoma one of
these days to see John when he is in town there.
Now, John has a new CD! Its another great! I am not sure what the cost is
as Audrey bought it. I won't even tell you the title. I will tell you that
John is at Orins house and he has a few with him. By my calculation, if you
women contact Orin today you just might have it in time for Christmas. Don't
open it when it arrives. Wrap it and put it under the tree labeled to
yourself. Then the surprise will be complete when you play it Christmas day.
Thats why I am not telling you the title. Let it be till Christmas day.
Couldn't think of a better gift to give yourself.
Have a Rocking Christmas
Steve

Name: Karen Where are you from: Lake George NY Comments:The first time I came acrossed Johnny Loos was in Lake George at the Forum during the Elvis Festival, October 2004. His performance took my breath away. His voice is absolutely incredible. His sex appeal left me "all shook up." Again, I had the pleasure of another one of his fantastic performances on June 17th in Lake George. John has made a lot of fans in the upstate New York area and we hope we can keep him coming back. I hope you enjoyed the roses that I've sent you as they are a symbol of my affection and appreciation of your talent. We love you. Your Biggest Fan, Karen

Hello Name: Marjorie Comments: The finals for The Tribute To The King Contest hosted by almost all of the Isle of Capriproperties was held on the King's 70th birthday in Bossier City, Louisiana. I was very fortunate to have been able to attend. My husband Harold had said on the way home from the Marquette, Iowa semi-finals, that I should go to Louisiana to support Johnny . I certainly wasn't going to say no to this. The 11 contestants and the properties they represented were: Harry Lee Scaggs, Natchez, Mississippi; Donny Edwards, Boonville, Missouri; Todd Martin, Lake Charles, Louisiana; James Wages, Vicksburg, Mississippi; Irv Cass, Davenport, Iowa; Doug Spencer, Blackhawk, Colorado; Brandon Bennett, Bossier City, Louisiana; Matt Joyce, Lula, Mississippi; Matt Cordell, Kansas City, Missouri; Mark Eskew, Biloxi, Mississippi; and Johnny Loos, Marquette, Iowa. Just think of all that great talent in one room. There were some I was to see for the first time, and others I had seen before. Johnny was contestant 11, last, but as they say you save the best for last, and he proved to be no exception. I had remained in my chair throughout all the other performers until it was Johnny's turn, upon which I immediately rished to the stage. He came out looking at ease, and immediately took command of the audience when he began singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" - and we all know how wonderful that is. When he began "Suspicious Minds", the stage edge was packed by mesmerized women both young and old. Johnny touched hands, kissed cheeks, and handed out scarves. He then launched right into the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody", finishing to a roar of applause. There was no doubt in my mind who was the winner! The emcee had drawings for prizes while the votes of the judges were tallied. The emcee then asked for all the contestants to come back on stage. The time had finally come for the results, with 3rd place prize money of $7,500 going to Donny Edwards, 2nd place went to Mark Eskew and he was awarded $15,000 plus an additional $2,500 for new comer, and the first place prize of $25,000 went to Johnny. Upon the announcement of his being the winner, a stunned Johnny soon regained his composure to be congratulated by the other performers and then did a victory somersault! Be sure to check out my Marjorie photo folder for pictures of Johnny at this event.

Gary, Maggie and Q. Name: Cindy Hatfield Just wanted to say I enjoyed meeting Johnny and Irv at the Isle, our
group had dinner with them Friday and Saturday after the show; they were great to be around. We're so happy that he won...what a fantastic voice!!! He is so very sincere, works hard and deserves the title...I hope that he enjoys his show in Oklahoma and accomplishes everything he hopes and dreams for after that. We would be lucky to have him perform at our Bettendorf, IA, Isle of Capri so I hope that can be worked out somehow with Zach...I do hope to meet him again someday. It was a pleasure; I'll never forget it. You made our trip very special. Best of luck always Johnny! I can't wait to get the pictures!!! Thanks. Cindy

It was our first time in Lake George and we were just so happy to meet you in person at the street fest. You were very kind to take pictures with us, this meant a lot to us. It would have been nice if you had CD's and shirts available, we certainly would have purchased them. We enjoyed all your performances and we were always wanting more. You seem to be one of the few ETA's that lends a very distinct style to your performance. We are hoping to see you again at the 2005 Lake George Elvis fest. We would like to see you as the headliner during the evening show at the Forum next year.

I cant get over how great your voice is, your moves your sex appeal your charisma EVERYTHING. You've always have time to talk and take pictures. And also Congratulations on your BIG WIN in Brantford Hope to see you soon love always Brooke
Name: Orin LoosEmail: Where are you from: Wyoming Comments:Well, another first place win in Branford. This one was great as I heard one of the judges has something against you and scored you low for some sort of vengeful reason. Still took first in spite of it. Ha to him and a Huge Congratulations to you. In spite of adversity you rose to the top. The other fair judges saw it the way it is. I commend them for a job well done. That's the problem with contests, if PROMOTERS or a JUDGE has a favorite or a dislike for the best, he gets cheated so often. Sounds like the Professional division was run properly. Keep on singing son. Your one of the best.
